WHO'S KOPAJOS
Kopajos is, at heart, a family brand.
It represents the Aegean spirit at its peak.
The founder’s legend is lost in the Cycladic Archipelago. Still, thanks to his descendants, all his myths are knotted together again in Mykonos — a charming island enhanced by the energy of Delos, the spiritual heart of the Greek waves.
They say a native artisan once shaped frames by hand in a small workshop, using natural materials to craft exceptionally strong sunglasses.
The quality of his work drew the attention of the local elite — even legends like Aristoteles Onassis.
One story says that in the '60s, Maria Callas broke Onassis’s sunglasses in a fit of rage. The old craftsman repaired them with thicker temples, so she couldn’t break them again.

Soon, the sunglasses with the tapered fish became a point of pride — first for locals, then for all Greeks.
The tapered fish, discreetly embedded in every frame, is more than a logo — it’s a seal of identity.
It carries the story of resilience, craft, and Greek elegance with every pair worn across the world.
Today, Kopajos brings that spirit worldwide: blending handmade heritage with bold design, eclectic colors, classic lines, and innovation.
The legend lives on.
Mykonos remains its home and beating heart, where the new generation carries the brand forward — from the Cyclades, through Santorini, to the bright lights of Miami.

Today, Kopajos is worn by explorers, artists, and thinkers — a global κόσμος of people who see the world through our frames, yet carry a piece of the Aegean with them.
As new stories unfold and new faces join the journey, Kopajos remains faithful to its mythic roots — never static, always evolving under the sun of the Cyclades.
